Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how OLLO collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the OLLO iOS application and related services.

OLLO is built around nearby, real-world connection. OLLO does not store GPS coordinates, does not build a location history, and does not sell personal data.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use OLLO, we may collect the following information:

Account information: Sign in with Apple identifier and, if provided by Apple, email address or private relay email.
Profile information: first name, profile photo, short bio, and selected mode such as Social or Networking.
User content: chat messages, reports, and optional notes submitted through safety tools.
Device and notification information: device tokens used to deliver Apple Push Notifications for chat messages.
Technical information: app version, diagnostic logs, server logs, request metadata, and security-related events.

2. Nearby Discovery and Location

OLLO uses Bluetooth and peer-to-peer nearby discovery features to show users who are physically nearby. This is designed for short-range presence, not location tracking.

OLLO does not store GPS coordinates.
OLLO does not store a location history.
OLLO does not show an exact address or map location.
Nearby presence is used to support the core app experience: seeing nearby OLLO users, sending pings, and starting chats after acceptance.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

Create and maintain your OLLO account and profile.
Show your profile to nearby OLLO users when you are online.
Send and receive pings, messages, and push notifications.
Provide safety features such as blocking, reporting, and account deletion.
Maintain, debug, secure, and improve the app.
Comply with legal obligations and App Store requirements.

4. Chat Messages and Retention

Chat messages are stored to deliver the messaging experience. OLLO is designed so messages expire automatically after 30 days. If a chat is deleted or a user is blocked, related app behavior may remove the conversation from one or both devices according to the app's safety and unmatch behavior.

5. Photos and Media

Profile photos may be stored using cloud storage so they can be displayed in profiles and chats. Photos are used only to provide OLLO's profile and discovery experience. We may remove content that violates safety rules, App Store requirements, or applicable law.

6. Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, OLLO uses Apple Push Notification service to notify you about chat messages and related app activity. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with service providers who help operate OLLO, such as cloud hosting, database, storage, authentication, push notification, security, and analytics providers. These providers process information only as needed to support the app.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to investigate abuse, or to enforce our Terms of Use.

8. Third-Party Services

OLLO may use third-party infrastructure and platform services, including Apple services for sign-in and notifications, AWS services for backend infrastructure, and Cloudflare services for hosting and delivery of web pages. If analytics or crash reporting tools are added, this policy will be updated as needed.

9. Safety, Blocking, and Reports

OLLO includes tools to block users, report users, and delete your account. Reports may include information about the reported user, the reporter, category, optional note, timestamps, and related conversation context when needed for review.

10. Account Deletion and Your Choices

You may delete your OLLO account from inside the app where available. You may also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your account.

Some information may be retained for a limited time where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate operational records.

11. Children and Age Requirements

OLLO is intended for users who are at least 17 years old. Do not use OLLO if you are under 17.

12. International Processing

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, depending on the location of our service providers and infrastructure. We take reasonable steps to protect information according to this policy and applicable law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice in the app or on this page.
